Why CBD and caffeine?

Well, for one thing, CBD  enhances the caffeine but reduces the jitters.

"CBD can further enhance the feeling of mental alertness produced by caffeine by interacting with some of the same neurotransmitters responsible for carrying out the effects.

Mental alertness is controlled by a few key neurotransmitters in the brain. One of the most important is adenosine.

As more adenosine builds up, our neurons become progressively slower at sending messages. This makes us feel slow and tired. It’s designed to help us wind down to fall asleep at night.

Caffeine blocks the effects of adenosine by attaching to the receptors itself — thereby preventing adenosine from doing its job — keeping us awake when we would otherwise feel tired.

CBD offers many of its own benefits through its interaction with adenosine, but the interaction is much more complex than it is with caffeine — it’s considered a modulator of adenosine. This means that CBD appears to work by improving the efficiency of the adenosine receptors directly].

Other effects of CBD may come through its interaction with serotonin — often considered the “happy” neurotransmitter.  Increased serotonin activity leads to a greater sense of well-being and motivation."

NEW PRODUCT**

JUST ANNOUNCED!! **COFFEE CHOCK FULL OF Cannabinoids... Delish, non-jittery and Good For You!  Check details on website!

Another starring cannabinoid in Zogena's new proprietary oils is CBDV.  Research suggests it is a powerhouse of health benefits, too.

" so, this doesn’t exhaust the potential indications of CBDV’s neurological effects. The cannabinoid was tested in a mouse model of Rett syndrome, which is linked to behavioral and psychological symptoms in girls (e.g., speech and motor coordination difficulties and seizures). The study found CBDV beneficial on multiple levels, including motor coordination. [1]

To reinforce these results, CBDV appears to effect “complete rescue of recognition memory deficits” of male mice with the same genetic mutation that causes Rett syndrome, as well as to transiently delay neurological defects. [2]

On a somewhat related note, CBDV is also being explored as a potential remedy for some of the behavioral, social, and cognitive plights of autism specter disorder (ASD), which can increase the chances of epileptic episodes.

The body of promising research doesn’t end there. CBDV was also found to “prevent the loss of locomotor activity, reduce inflammation, and restore autophagy” in mice with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). [3]

And on a different note, CBDV inhibits nausea receptors in rodents, possibly through its interaction with transient receptor potential (TRP) channel receptors. [4]

As you can see, despite CBDV perhaps living in CBD’s large shadow for now, it certainly has the medicinal merit to make a name for itself, especially as it becomes the object of research involving humans".

Update on Helping a Friend

Good news:  My friend did get relief from the patch and salve and called back to try the oil.  I believe in the oil. as you know, but it doesn't usually help suddenly.  It is a more gradual improvement in systems so we are waiting to hear from her on that issue.  However, her son suffers from a problem shoulder among other things and she called back to get some salve for him as well as some oil.

Note to self:  that is a good reason for a new distributor to get one of the packages:  it is truly handy to have a supply of Zogena on hand for those people (yes, the world still has a few of them) who aren't tech-savvy and do not do online ordering!  If you can imagine...

************

Had a chat with Don Nichols this morning and he mentioned that he has several regular customers who just call and drop by to get their Zogena supply, so I guess  it isn't that rare~!

************

Great specials running this month -- this is a perfect time to take advantage whether you are just starting or are a 'seasoned' distributor of a couple of months:)

Here's one:

50% OFF PROMO!

 May , 2020

Ready for some good news?! Until the end of this month (May 2020) Zogena will be giving a HUGE discount on bottles of 500mg oil! In your Distributor store you'll see 10 packs of 500mg lemon, mint, and a mix of both at a 50% discount of $295! That's only $29.50 a bottle for premium quality oil!

This will be a great way to get a lot of product in hand at a great price! If you normally sell/buy the 1000mg or 1500mg, simply taking more oil will give you the same amount of CBD! 1 dropper (1ml) for 16.7mg, 2 droppers (2ml) for 33.3 mg, 3 droppers (3ml) for 50mg. By adjusting the dose you can effectively get 30 doses of 1000mg for less than $60! Or 1500mg for less than $90!

Need some sample bottles? This is a fantastic option to get product in customers hands to try! We are also running low on our free hand sanitizer for purchases over $80, so look for the images like the one below in your stores and get yours today!

Anything to Help a Friend

A good friend has had a bum knee for a number of years.  Slowly doing downhill.  The past few months she has been virtually immobile.  Finally she was told by her doctors that knee replacement surgery is the only hope.

Problem is: in these quarantine times and with the hospital situation the way it is, it will be late September or early October before she can get scheduled for the procedure.  5-6 more months of misery and limited mobility.

With nothing for the pain except the Tylenol/Alleve route, which basically doesn't help at all at this  point.

She knows that we use CBD,  and she tried some weird cbd capsules that aren't helping, so she called yesterday to see if we could suggest anything.

So today for Mother's Day we took her a care package of some Salve, Oil and Pain Patch.  Don't know if it will help her knee or not -- sounds as if  it is in terrible shape -- but our hope is that she will at least get some measure of relief to help her make it to surgery!

Thankful that we might be of help to a suffering friend:  isn't that why we do what we do?

Grateful for Zogena!

Will let you know what I hear from her.

Have a blessed day and stay safe!

And I've found that a double dose of my Zogena oil taken immediately prior to putting on that cursed mask makes my trips to the grocery store go much better!

Love those Z-Treats!!

Does your heart beat to the rhythm of your Chihuahua's wagging tail?
You are not alone!
Why are we excited that the yummy dog treats are now in our Zogena store?

Here are some facts that will make you sit up:

Pet supplements — from fish oil to probiotics — has grown year over year for the past five years, according to Packaged Facts. Their nearly 200-page analysis was compiled from surveying pet owners of all ages, but according to the data, dog owners age 25-34 skew particularly high for buying supplements for their animals. Overall, dog people spend four times as much on their good boys and girls as cat people do, and last year, accounted for an estimated 78% of all pet supplement sales.

Factors that contributed to such massive growth in pet we are many--
 — Packaged Facts’ 2019 surveys show that 43% of dog owners who purchase supplements do so online, compared to a measly 27% just two years ago. There’s the seismic surge of interest in CBD, and the “halo effect” its popularity has had in the pet supplement category. There’s the explosion of (human) wellness and self-care culture over the last few years, and its ensuing trickle-down effect on our pets: according to the report, “pet supplement purchasers are more likely to be supplement takers themselves.” And then, of course, there are the millennial customers themselves: a generation for whom pets often function like kids. (Industry experts call this phenomenon “humanization.”)
Steve King, president of the American Pet Products Association and 30-year veteran of the industry, says millennials, who recently surpassed boomers as the biggest buyers of pet products, have brought along some fairly major attitudinal shifts in what, and how, we buy for our pets. “Products that were considered perhaps luxuries by earlier generations are now considered essentials by millennial pet owners,” says King. “And that definitely feeds into the area of supplements.” --Source Vox.com The Pet Supplement Industry
