PROTECT YOURSELF

The rest of us also have a motto -- "First, do not hurt."

Hence we probably all have a handy hard hat to throw on our head to be sure that nothing that is thrown our way can touch us and hurt us.

Problem:  it keeps  you from using your head to find a solution to your current malaise.

GOOF OFF

Getting sucked into the first 'sounds like a too good to be true party alternative biz' to your former job-biz might take your mind off the situation in your real world, but

Problem:  the distraction doesn't help over the long term .

C'mon, kid.  You don't have to reinvent yourself as some authoritative guru who is large and in charge in order to change your circumstances.  That way lies true embarrassment because

Problem:  it won't be long before you're exposed as 'all hat and no cows'.

IGNORANCE ON FIRE 

A good bet is to find a product to market from home that you really believe in, benefit from, and can honestly share with others enthusiastically.  Remember, no one likes a know-it-all:  ignorance on fire beats knowledge on ice every time.

Problem:  most will be too proud.
